Film Comment’s Best of 2023

Film Comment‘s annual contributor polls are a useful measure of the year in film, so we’re happy to see two FILM FEST KNOX movies spotlighted there.

• Number four on the Best Films of 2023 list, Fallen Leaves by Aki Kaurismäki, was the closing film of our inaugural edition.
• Number nine on the Best Undistributed Films of 2023 list, About Thirty by Martín Shanly, had its US premiere at FILM FEST KNOX.
• Artistic Director Darren Hughes was a voter this year.
